Plant a Forest

Planting a tree is a wonderful way to commemorate a special event, give a gift, or honor the memory of a loved one. Whether they're planted in your own backyard or across the globe, trees provide a host of benefits.

  • A gift of a tree will last for generations

Forests are critical ecosystems that capture and sequester carbon, thereby reducing the impact of man-made carbon emissions. They also provide habitat for wildlife, grow food for people and animals, and stabilize the soil.

Together with our Indonesian and Australian partners, OURF plants and maintains trees to reforest land adjacent to orangutan habitat.

Planting trees helps reforest land adjacent to orangutan habitat. Our partner organizations in Indonesia are planting on degraded land within Gunung Leuser National Park, as well as on buffer areas near villages next to the park.

You can help OURF support the forest planting activities carried out by our local partners. You can choose how many trees to plant and the recipient of the tree-planting certificate.
